About The Foundation

On July 4, 2018 my wife and I, along with some good friends got together and went on a little kayak float to enjoy the day as well as our freedoms. Jokingly, I called it the Freedom Float being that it was on Independence Day. That being said, I thought what a great way to start an organization and hold an annual event to benefit our Nations finest...The Vets!

The Freedom Float Foundation was then born.

It is designed to assist and aid local West Virginia Veterans and Veteran affiliations through donations. Throughout the year we will be conducting fundraisers, having raffles and much more that will all lead up to the main event....THE FREEDOM FLOAT! EVERY penny that is raised will go to the foundation's account.

We are set to launch our very first Freedom Float on July 4, 2019 at 8 AM. This 7 mile Kayak and/or small water craft float will begin at the Corridor G L-4 water trail boat launch area and is estimated to take 4 hours for completion.

Take out will be set at Meadowbrook Park in Tornado/ Upper Falls. Shuttle buses will be available.

Preregistration runs from April 1, 2019 until June 2, 2019 and will include your name for various free raffles and a t-shirt. Cost for preregistration is $15 per Veteran and $20 per Non-Veteran.

Cost after June 2, 2019 will be $20 per Veteran and $25 per Non-Veteran.

A separate raffle for a Kayak is underway.
